Bin/Waste Collections

As normal around the Bank Holidays, we won’t be collecting bins on Good Friday or Easter Monday.

We’ll simply collect your bins one day later than usual.

If your collection is due on Friday 10th April, it will be collected on Saturday 11th.

The same for Easter Week, beginning Monday 13th April – one day later than your usual collection day, including Friday 17th, when collections take place Saturday 18th.

Remember, due to increased pressure on our staffing levels from Covid-19 we’re only collecting brown bins and medical waste (where applicable) currently. Please place your recycling in your brown bin.

Support our crews by cleaning your bin handles before and after use, ensuring your bin lid can be closed, and not leaving additional bags of waste out. These can’t be taken to reduce the amount of potentially contaminated surfaces our crews touch.

As a Council we have noticed a swell of volunteers offering support and help to vulnerable residents. With this in mind we are registering with the correct authorities as a volunteer group. In the coming days we will be asking for volunteers to come and register with us. This is to safeguard yourselves and the residents that are in need of assistance. We will be working with all our Village Groups to identify vulnerable people. You will be asked to bring ID with you and will be issued with a photographic ID badge to wear when you are visiting and helping. Again this is to Safeguard all involved.
