Current Account: £619.85
Business Account: £72,723.66
£4,000 was transferred from the Saver account to the Current account to make payments for invoices.
The outstanding payroll documents have been received.
8. Clerk’s Report
- A quotation of £5200 + VAT has been received for the redecoration of the hall, stairs and landing. Another decorator has shown interest in the work, but a quote has not yet been received.
- There is still a vacancy for Randle Ward.
- Councillor Robinson and the Event Manager have submitted a National Lottery Funding application for works to make the Village Hall more accessible. No response has been received.
- PKF Littlejohn have signed off the accounts for 2023/24.
- Bleeding Control Training took place at the Village Hall on 17.10.2024. 19 attended.
- The upgraded broadband contract has been requested.
- Officers from St Helens Council had been contacted as not all the garages on Pilkington Street had notices on them. A full survey using a specialist asbestos contractor has been commissioned to do a full survey of all the garages for the potential risk to human health only. Following this, individual decisions will be taken for each garage unit for the appropriate course of action. Some of the garages have not been included and information about this has been requested, but not yet received.
- Paula Blellock is requesting another EPC assessment for the Village Hall. No date has been set.
- The new card machine has been installed.
- The new licence agreement with Merseyside Police has not yet been ratified, but it is with the police’s agent, accompanied by an invoice for outstanding rent.
- Trevor Nicolls will be representing St Helens Council at the Remembrance Day service in Rainford. Representatives from SHBC will be present at services across the borough.
- The soup pot for the kitchen has been purchased.
- The Crime statistics for September 2024 have been received from the CPSO, Donna Mooney:

- Blood Box for the North End Club: Councillor Bowden

A representative from Rainford X club has requested that the Parish Council supply a Blood Box at the venue. Councillor Denton asked at the last FPA meeting why this could not be supplied, and the following proposal has her support.
Cllr Bowden to propose that Rainford Parish Council supply a Blood Box to be situated at the Rainford X Club at a cost of £539.86 + VAT.

- Annual Exhibition

The 50 year and Heritage weekend exhibition was very well received and attended. The café and raffle made £330. Several visitors asked if the exhibition could be an annual event. This could be tied in with National Heritage weekend, which is usually the second weekend in September, or could be at some other time of the year.
