I was fortunate to spend the majority of my Professional career with Barnardo’s as a Social Worker and Service Manager, working with Looked After Children, Young Carers and Children with Disabilities.
I am now happily retired pursuing a range of activities, including helping out with my four Grandchildren, singing in a choir, volunteering at Childline and being a school Governor.
I moved to Rainford in 1988, raised my two daughters here and they in turn are bringing up their children in our lovely village.
I have taken part in many community activities in the village. I am now keen to serve as a Parish Councillor to give back to the people of Rainford by supporting and building on the existing facilities here.
